An Introduction to Apprenticeships for Oxfordshire Parents
As parents and carers we know that you are keen to learn about all career pathways available to your child so that you can support them in their decision making. While we appreciate your child might already know what they are planning to do after school, plans can change. This session will be valuable for parents/carers of students in all secondary school year groups, and 6th Form and FE college’s. Students themselves are also very welcome to attend.
Apprenticeships have changed significantly over the past few years and there are some brilliant opportunities available for your child. This event will cover:
- The range of apprenticeship roles available across sectors such as Space, Life Sciences, Health Care and Construction.
- The different levels of apprenticeships available and what do they entail.
- How do you find an apprenticeship.
- What you need to do to start searching and applying.
You will also hear from a couple of current apprentices based with Oxfordshire businesses who will share their experiences and advice.
