AWE Nuclear Security Technologies Taster Day: Explore Opportunities, Shape Your Career – Level 3 (In-Person)

Are you a student interested in Engineering,? Are you interested in an apprenticeship at AWE? Do you live in Reading, Thames Valley or Berkshire?

For more than 70 years, AWE Nuclear Security Technologies has supported the UK Government’s nuclear defence strategy and the Continuous At Sea Deterrent. They also use their nuclear know-how and technical expertise to provide innovative solutions that support the UK’s counter-terrorism and nuclear threat reduction activities. They aim to build enduring relationships with government customers, international partners, suppliers and communities in the locations where they operate.

This event is designed to immerse students in the dynamic world of AWE and provide a comprehensive understanding of the engineering roles we offer. Our goal is to inspire students to explore the exciting opportunities available and encourage them to register their interest ahead of roles opening in 2025/26.

The agenda includes an insightful hands on session with our apprentices, you will get to try practical tasks and discover if AWE is the right fit for you. It will be a chance to gain an understanding of engineering and explore your future within engineering.

Students will meet current apprentices and employer volunteers, gaining first-hand insights into life at AWE and the skills needed for engineering roles.

During this Taster Session parents are invited to stay and learn more about how to support applications to AWE apprenticeships.
