NHS Apprenticeships – Virtual Taster Day (Swindon)

Discover the exciting new apprenticeships on offer at the NHS – grab you FREE ticket today to find out how you can kick-start your career!

This virtual taster day will allow you to gain insight into the various apprenticeship roles on offer within the NHS and what the application process would entail! Have the chance to speak with industry professionals including, Non-Clinical Apprentice, Clinical Apprentice and Health Care Professionals.

They will begin by telling you all about how they got to where they are today which will hopefully inspire you with your next steps after schools/college. As part of the day, you will learn all about the roles with Serco, including the non-clinical routes such as, Hospital Porters, Cleaners and working on the estates.

After lunch, you will take part in a values-based interactive session where you will pick up all the hints and tips you need on how to nail your future interview! You will also learn about the 4 star values that are exclusive to great western hospital.

Finally, we will wrap up the day with a Q&A in which you will have the chance to ask any questions to the speakers you met at the start of the day. Have your questions ready!

How the day looks:

  • 10 – 10.05 – Introduction
  • 10.05 – 10.15 – Introduction to apprenticeship roles in the NHS
  • 10.15 – 11.15 – Speed-meet of entry level roles
  • 11.15 – 11.30 – Break
  • 11.30 – 12.15 – Roles with Serco
  • 12.15 – 1.15 – Lunch
  • 1.15 – 2.15 – Values-based interactive session
  • 2.15 – 2.30 – Break
  • 2.30 – 3 – Q&A, wrap up and next steps
