This is a great opportunity to develop a career in communications with a major manufacturing business. It would suit someone who has a passion for communication, with first-class writing skills.

Working across internal and external communications, you’ll be the eyes, ears, and voice of Accrol and you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in many areas of the business, developing skills across a wide range of communication areas from content creation to distribution across a breadth of channels to managing stakeholders and responding to enquiries.

Role Responsibilities:

Writing: Writing for business and brand communications, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, writing for the media (including articles, news releases, blogs, and case studies)
Social media: Understanding when and which social media channel is appropriate and how it can be incorporated into a PR campaign. Using social media in a strategic and effective way for companies and brands, monitoring and managing online communities to enhance business awareness and reputation
Media liaison: Understanding how the media operates, dealing with day to day inquiries from the media, pitching stories and/or products to the media, building relationships with the local and trade media (i.e. journalists), creating media lists, monitoring press clippings
– External communications campaigns: Supporting the team in creating new campaigns, working to deliver a strategy for a client or organisation, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of PR and communication campaigns and measuring their impact
– Awards: write and submit award nominations for Accrol Group and raise the profile of any successes
– Deliver and evaluate internal communications: successful delivery of the internal communications plan and promote the values and priorities of the business across employees
– Budgets: taking charge of small finance processes related to PR and communication activities

Qualifications:

GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 9-4 (A*- C)) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 9-4 (A*- C)) Desired
A Level or equivalent Creative subjects (Grade 5 (B)) Desired
A Level or equivalent English (Grade 5 (B)) Desired
A Level or equivalent Humanities subjects (Grade 5 (B)) Desired

Salary: £20,000 – £22,000
