Description

Diageo apprentices have the best of all worlds. Our on-site, hands-on, fast-learning programmes are perfect for people who are curious and have a willingness to learn. If you want to gain an industry recognised qualification that will set you up for a career to be proud of, you’re in the right place.

Diageo is one of the world’s leading producers of premium drinks. We have an outstanding collection of over 200 brands, old and new, large and small, global and local – that are enjoyed in more than 180 countries around the world. Diageo’s Inventory & Supply department is the central planning team, based in Alloa, that is responsible for the day to day management of Diageo’s maturing Scotch Whisky and Rum stocks held across Scotland. This small dynamic team handles the selection, logistical movements and quality assurance activities associated with all Scotch Whisky & Rum blending operations.

How does the programme work?

This 3 year Modern Apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to develop broad skills within an exciting and supportive work environment, while working towards a structured SVQ certified qualification in Supply Chain over a three-year period. You will learn all about Inventory Management (handling whisky stock records, 3rd party customer service and HMRC owner & site location compliance) and Quality (sample ordering, record management and HMRC compliance) Over the course of the apprenticeship, you will continue to develop their operational capabilities and achieve SVQ certification to level 3 or above.

Who are we looking for?

Academically, we’re looking for three Nat 5’s  – including Maths, English and one technical or science subject. Along with the skills for working with Microsoft computer packages.

Please note that we will only be able to accept applications from people who have already achieved these grades in 2021 or earlier.

But character is everything. You’ll need to be a curious, tenacious problem-solver, who’s proud of getting a great job done, and someone who shows integrity, respect for others and, above all, a passion for learning something new every day.
