Description
Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Digital Communities Apprentice. An opportunity to `earn as you learn` – this career entry post will give you an in-depth insight into the working of the heritage sector in England. You will have the chance to develop many important contacts and your own personal profile in the profession.
You will complete your apprenticeship through a combination of real work-based learning based from one of our offices and through online tuition with our approved training provider. Your work-based learning will take 80% of your time, meaning you will gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful in your apprenticeship while being involved in some fascinating and meaningful projects, based within our Sector Skills and Resilience Team.
What will you be doing?
Your work will help contribute to the management of England`s unique historic environment, helping to ensure that the knowledge and specialist advice needed to keep places special is shared within the sector. In addition, you will complete a range of professional skills courses that will support your overall career development.
You will be working towards completion of the Digital Community Manager Level 4 apprenticeship over the course of 18 months. 80% of your time will be spent in the workplace, and 20% of your time will be spent off the job, completing a training programme specially designed for your apprenticeship with a recognised training provider, JGA Training.
