Through technology and innovation, they will enable a consumer-led revolution in the use and operation of their system. What you’ll be doing:
Working as a Cyber Security Graduate Apprentice / Degree Apprentice within the SGO Cyber Security Team, you’ll interface across the different teams within SGO. From Real Time Systems, Electricity Network Automation, Smart Metering Systems to Cyber Security, you’ll support the delivery of projects that enhance the functionality of the systems, while ensuring their systems are available 24/7, 365 days a year- without fail! You’ll play a key role in assessing their network security to present potential cyber issues to senior management and their Global OT Cyber Security Teams. You’ll also be involved in vital activities to minimise the risk of interruptions to their network through risk management planning, carrying out risk assessments and, of course, risk mitigation. They’re responsible for providing oversight, governance, and advice to their business; from day-to-day activities to current and future projects, they’re the experts in this field. And by the end of your degree, you will be too!

During your degree, you’ll do rotational placements linked to your modules, providing you with the opportunity to see how your studies relate to real life scenarios and giving you that additional dimension that you won’t get from a traditional undergraduate degree. And at the end of the programme, you’ll continue your career as a Cyber Security Engineer with a starting salary of £37,381.

Entry Requirements:
Four Highers at grades A – B (or equivalent), including Computing or Maths. You’ll also have National 5s at a grades A – C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

120 UCAS points achieved through A Levels (or equivalent). You’ll also have GCSEs at a grades A – C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
