Flying start: Accounting Degree Apprenticeship

  • Company: PwC
  • Location: Multiple Locations
  • Closing Date: 20-07-2023

PwC’s Accounting Flying Start degree program lasts for four years and fast tracks one’s career in Business and Accounting. During the program, you’ll have three paid work placements with PwC. These placements are integrated into the university’s academic year, each lasting just one term. This structure allows students to enjoy their summers off.

The program sets participants on the path to becoming an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. They will complete 80% of their ICAEW exams during the degree program and will be just over a year away from achieving full qualification upon graduation.

Students will study at a leading UK university, with the four-year Flying Start program available at the following institutions:
Newcastle University (NN14)
University of Manchester (N403)
University of Nottingham (N410)
University of Reading (NN41)
Queen Mary University of London (N403)

Applying for the Flying Start degree program is done via UCAS. Applicants have the option to apply for multiple Flying Start programs, but each application to a specific university will count as one of their UCAS options.

The majority of program finalists with PwC have received job offers after graduation. They typically join PwC in the third year of the graduate program, potentially becoming fully qualified ICAEW Chartered Accountants with corresponding salaries just over a year after graduating.
