About this role:
The Digital Support Technicians play a key role in looking after BT’s bespoke communications networks for some of their clients that help keep our country safe. You’ll be helping to manage the support and development of global and highly complex voice and data platforms solutions, following the ITIL service operations model. They can’t tell you too much more about what it is you’ll be doing, as a lot of the work they do is highly sensitive and secure, but – in their opinion at least – it’s really exciting.

Your day-to-day work can range from troubleshooting network faults to completing customer and internal work orders, to system administration, project support and migration support. You’ll also carry out tasks to help install and commission various types of new equipment and technologies within their various bespoke platforms – it’s all in a day’s work for you.

About the apprenticeship you’ll study for:
As a Support Technician, you’ll study for a Diploma for Information Technology and Telecommunications Professionals SCQF Level 6. Your apprenticeship scheme will last 18 months and 20% of your working hours will be dedicated to studying.

Entry Requirements:
5 GCSEs at grades 4 – 9 (GCSE C or above) including English Language and Maths. Equivalent qualifications are accepted.
