This is a NHS Lewisham & Greenwich Trust work experience placement, within the University Hospital Lewisham Surgery & Cancer Department,

Key Details of the Placement:

  • 5 day-placement, Mon – Fri
  • Between Monday 14th July – Friday 25th July
  • 9AM – 5PM

Tasks Completed During Placement:

  • Shadow the Specialist Screening Practitioners (SSP) in clinic with the patient’s consent.
  • Shadow the SSP in follow up clinic.
  • Shadow the Bowel Cancer Screening (BCS) administration team , preparing clinic paperwork, filing, scanning and learning the BCS programme pathway.
