Flying start: Digital Technology Degree Apprenticeship

  • Company: PwC
  • Location: Manchester
  • Closing Date: 01-05-2022

Description

We recognise that people learn in different ways and that you should have a choice about how you grow and develop your career. That’s why at PwC we now have two technology apprenticeship pathways to choose from; university study with work placements or integrated work and college study at our new Manchester Technology Centre. However, rest assured that whichever path you choose, both will fast track your career in Technology.

If you choose the University route, you’ll study towards a full BSc degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, depending on which University you attend, and gain the relevant apprenticeship qualification too. And now you can also complete a degree apprenticeship whilst working alongside PwC full time. Either way, the degree apprenticeship is fully funded which means you don’t need to pay your tuition fees and as a PwC apprentice from day one, you’ll be paid a salary throughout your degree programme.

As part of the apprenticeship you’ll study towards a Level 6 degree apprenticeship in BSc Digital and Technology Solutions, specialising as either a Data Analyst, Software Engineer or Cyber Security specialist.  We will work with you to decide which pathway is the right choice for you based on your skill set, preferences, and the business need.

What to expect

You’ll get the chance to start developing your career as a tech specialist straight away as an apprentice at PwC. You’ll spend the majority of your time getting to work with world-class clients as part of our highly skilled team in our Manchester Technology Centre, building your network and enhancing your skills. In addition to this, for every few weeks you spend in the workplace, you’ll spend one week at Ada, studying towards a degree apprenticeship BSc in Digital and Technology Solutions. You’ll spend approximately 80% of your time at PwC and 20% at Ada.

You will be offered a role specialising as either a Data Analyst, Software Engineer or Cyber Security specialist.  We will work with you to decide which pathway is the right choice for you based on your skill set, preferences and the business need.
