Description

Jaguar Land Rover is a multi-site business and you’ll be required to spend time working with different departments at several locations. Once you’ve successfully completed your apprenticeship, you can look forward to a long-term career with us. The role you take on will depend on your performance, personal preferences and business needs.

Level 6 Supply Chain & Logistics Degree Apprenticeship:
Supply Chain & Logistics sits within our new Industrial Operations function. Our Industrial Operations function incorporates all teams across manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain and consolidates accountability for the complete ecosystem of how we produce our vehicles, in one place.

As an apprentice, you will enjoy both hands-on, career-building experience at the forefront of automotive and the opportunity to achieve a BSc (Hons) degree that our experts have developed in conjunction with Aston University, which specialises in supply chain and logistics research and teaching. From day one, you will make an impact on our supply chain, continuously design and execute innovative strategies and solutions, optimise the journeys taken by parts from the factory showroom, and shape the future of movement along the way.

Supply Chain Operations & Logistics:
From experience in supplier development to finished vehicle delivery, you will build your ability to get the best performance from our suppliers and logistics providers and deliver efficiently optimised, well-planned operations. You will be planning Jaguar Land Rover’s multi-model inbound and finished vehicle supply chains and will use key performance indicators to manage the flow of components from global suppliers to our assembly plants, and vehicles to dealers.

New Product & Launch:
Working on the new vehicle and engine programmes that are the future of the business, you will build expertise in managing complex projects, defining objectives, timing and budgets, and taking concepts from the desktop to industrialisation. You will work years in advance of new vehicle introductions, ensuring that robust plans and efficient supply chain solutions are developed and implemented. After realising your project, you will focus on operational readiness as well as controlling capital budgets and expenses to maximise financial returns.

Supply Chain Planning:
Playing a critical role in maximising new vehicle sales revenue, you will help the team with everything from capacity planning to vehicle scheduling, owning and orchestrating our Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. You will work with both our Commercial and Manufacturing teams to translate global vehicle demand into vehicle and propulsion system production schedules, balancing manufacturing plant output with demand and optimising component and finished vehicle inventory.

Supply Chain Strategy:
The Supply Chain Strategy team is responsible for defining the long-term strategic direction of the supply chain through monitoring industry, economic and customer trends. Developing plans and enabling targeted change across all areas of the supply chain, you will ensure that everything you do is aligned with our business vision, while maintaining a focus on sustainability, risk management and business resilience.

What’s Required:
GCSE Maths and English Language at level 5 or higher plus three additional GCSEs at level 5 (C) or higher, including one science, engineering, technology or maths (STEM) subject. You will also need three A-levels at grade C or higher, one of which must be in a STEM subject with a high numerical content.
