With senior mentors guiding you, you’ll work as part of a team and develop the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience to become an Automation Maintenance Technician. If you’ve got a natural curiosity for how things work and are driven to find the answers for problems, this programme could be for you.

What you will be doing:
On our advanced engineering apprenticeship, you’ll get to grips with the cutting-edge technology needed to deliver a first-class service – covering everything from robotics to intelligent sorting machines. On top of a unique foundation for understanding all of the technology involved in delivery, you’ll learn how the organisation uses it to improve its business.

You will be guided by senior colleagues who will provide you with the support required to become a first-class engineer.

We have two routes available under this Engineering Technician apprenticeship, we have the Mechatronics route and also have the Design route

What we’re looking for:
If you’re interested in how things work, have a logical way of working and want to learn and develop in a hands-on role, this scheme is for you. You don’t need to be an expert engineer before you join, as we will support you all the way.

What you do need is a natural curiosity and a strong work ethic. We’re looking for people who can work well as part of a team and are driven to find the answers to problems.

Eligibility: Five GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English and Science, at grade C/4 or higher required.
