We’re currently working on some of the biggest changes in our history, and we need you to help us deliver exciting new ideas, approaches, and programmes so we go from good to better to beyond.

As an HR Specialist, you’ll be managing key activities and projects, that help deliver our people strategy. That might be around activities such as Talent Management, Performance Management or Employee Engagement, or perhaps things such as Learning Initiatives. You’ll be involved in the communication, delivery, and governance of these projects, as well as in charge of making sure any existing content we have is kept up to date.

It’s a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to be quick at picking things up. You’ll also need to make sure any new ideas are understood by our community of HR Business Partners – regular and clear messaging is key. Once projects are underway, you’ll also be making sure to evaluate how things are going, by setting up things like surveys and quizzes. Based on the results, we’ll need you to make recommendations for improvements, so we’re always delivery the best for our colleagues.

You’ll need to be focused on creating an amazing employee experience; question current experiences and try out new things. Your role will involves working with lots of different HR professionals across the business, so we’ll teach you how to navigate those relationships openly and honestly. By the time you have completed your apprenticeship, you’ll be a well-rounded HR Specialist and have a built a solid foundation for your career.

About the apprenticeship you’ll study for

As a HR Specialist, you’ll study for a Level 5 apprenticeship called HR Partner/Consultant, and work towards a professional recognised Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification.

  • Your apprenticeship scheme will last for 24 months
  • 20% of your working hours will be dedicated to studying.

Entry requirements

You’ll need to achieve (or be on course to achieve) two A-Levels with a minimum of CC grades. You’ll also need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades 4-9 (C or above) including English and Maths.  Equivalent qualifications are accepted.
