You’ll join a Specialist Security team that provides the engineering support for the electrical and mechanical power systems to run our large network. You’ll be taught the principles relating to the operation and maintenance of plant and the critical equipment we use, as well as health and safety standards and environmental and regulatory requirements. You’ll also learn a range of engineering theories and principles.

About the Apprenticeship:
As a Power Engineer in Security, you’ll study for a Level 3 apprenticeship called Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician. The apprenticeship will last for three years. You’ll spend a minimum of 20% of your time learning and studying.

Entry Requirements:
You’ll need to achieve a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 4–9 (GCSE C or above) including English Language and Maths, or equivalent qualifications. However, your Maths GCSE must be at grade 6 (B or above). You’ll also need a full driving license with no more than six points. Equivalent qualifications are accepted. Due to the sensitive nature of some of our roles, you may be required to undergo Security Clearance.
