Throughout the course of your apprenticeship you’ll be taught job specific skills such as planning, designing, building and testing simple networks. You’ll be taught the methods required to identify and evaluate network security risks and then incorporate appropriate security products and processes into network designs to increase security, resilience and dependability.

About the apprenticeship you’ll study for

As a Network Engineer, you’ll study for a Level 6 apprenticeship called Digital & Technology Solutions Professional (Integrated Degree). This is an apprenticeship degree course, meaning if you complete the course successfully, you’ll receive a degree from one of our university partners.

  • The degree course runs for three years and is a work-based learning degree.
  • You’ll spend a minimum of 20% of your time learning and studying.

Entry requirements

You’ll need to achieve (or have achieved) three A-Levels with a minimum of BCC grades. You’ll also need to have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4-9 (C or above) including English and Maths. Equivalent qualifications are accepted
