This role starts in early September 2024, and is based in Manchester (with occasional travel to Sheffield and other parts of the North West) in the Social Value part of the Responsible Business team within our Consult engine.

What you’ll do:
As an apprentice in Responsible Business, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of internal and/or client-facing consultancy services including the advisory and co-ordination of various climate change, sustainability and/or social value related activities on projects and/or programmes.

This role will have a particular focus on social value, helping to shape and deliver client-facing social value activities, a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact through their work. Your main responsibilities will include:
Supporting the design of social value programmes and activities.
Supporting the identification of opportunities to enhance social value and helping to advise accordingly.
Supporting work-winning through proactive business development, networking, bid support, innovation, client liaison, upskilling of colleagues, and raising Mace’s profile externally.
Assisting clients to maximise social value through procurement processes.
Helping to ensure client requirements are fully understood and delivered against.
Promoting the economic valuation of social value outcomes and non-financial reporting.
Helping to provide social value consultancy including strategy, programme design, and delivery.
Contributing to social value on consultancy projects, community engagement, and promoting diversity of employment and skills.
Supporting with the creation of reports for construction clients and project directors, including economic evaluation of social value outcomes using the Value2Society framework.
You will also work towards completing a Level 4 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner apprenticeship qualification. We will also support you in gaining membership with a relevant professional body.

About you:
5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)
96 UCAS points.
