Our Apprentices at Thames Water play a key role in our success in delivering life’s essential service to our customers. You will work on projects that shape the future of our business whilst developing your skills to build a successful career. We offer a variety of advanced, higher and degree level apprenticeships so no matter what skills you have, if you have a passion for learning and the drive and motivation to manage your learning and working life, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Programme

You’ll be part of a fantastic scientific team, using the latest technology in the field of analytical chemistry. Throughout the programme, you’ll receive feedback on how you’re doing, and you’ll be able to use this to further develop your skills and experience.

You’ll take care of some of the most important water quality tests in the world, get hands-on experience with sample prep and analysis, and use the latest technology in the field of analytical chemistry. To support your learning, you’ll undergo a formal higher apprenticeship programme, including completing a degree. So, the apprenticeship is perfect for people who have finished their A-Levels and are keen on a route to degree-level training but want to get some work experience on the way.

We are passionate about providing a quality service to our customers. Joining our science team, you’ll undergo a formal Level 6 apprenticeship in chemistry through workplace learning. You’ll work towards becoming a Laboratory Analyst at the end of the programme, where we’ll continue to grow and develop you into our next generation of leaders. You’ll study for a degree in chemistry by day release at the Medway Campus of University of Greenwich.
